Ledgers, 1778-1805.

This microfilm contains two manuscript ledgers kept by blacksmith James Anderson and his son, Robert. While the entries primarily date from 1778-1798, annotations concerning the status of accounts were made as late as 1805. Among the more prominent names of customers are Daniel Broadhead, Edward Carrington, Col. William Finnie, John Greenhow, Edmund Randolph, George Winston, and Thomas Jefferson.
